Description

This AMAZING brooch (nicknamed Aragog for all of us Harry Potter nerds) is one of the most amazing pieces of jewelry craftsmanship we have ever seen. The spider is crafted in rich 18k yellow gold then set with a white opal body, black opal head, and rare demantoid garnet eyes. The legs of the spider are platinum and set with tiny rose cut diamond accents, then the whole spider rests on a platinum web that measures over 3 inches across! This piece can be disassembled using a complex screw mechanism, and different bodies can be made to fit the same web! It is quite the statement piece and a true work of jewelry art.

Details: 900 platinum and 18k brooch with 3.00ct white opal, 1.75ct black opal, .08ct demantoid, and .30ct rose cut diamonds, circa 1930.
