Vintage Ruby & Diamond 3-Stone Ring in Two Tone Gold

This ring is elegant in its simplicity. The regal red Ruby, weighing just over 1/2ct, appears larger due to the intense crimson red color which flashes out from every angle. The color of this Ruby is fascinating in that is a deep maroon red, but has hints of purple under certain lighting conditions then a stoplight red in others. This Ruby comes with a lab report stating natural origin, heat treatment only, and is likely of Thai origin. The ring is crafted in a weighty yellow gold mounting which gives the ring a more traditional look, but the yellow tone also makes the Ruby look more vivid. Set on either side is a sizable round Diamond, and the Diamonds are set in white gold prongs such that they have a neutral background to sparkle from. This mounting was cast in three parts then assembled by hand and each gem was individually set, so it is certainly a high quality three-stone ring that is well crafted to be worn on a daily basis- maybe as a July birthstone ring or?
