Vintage Dark Blue Sapphire & Diamond Engagement Ring

This is another great example of classic mid century jewelry design; this one a classic Sapphire and Diamond halo ring. The center Sapphire is a substantial cushion cut gem (appearing larger than its 1 1/2ct would suggest) with an intense ultramarine hue. The blue, with just the slightest teal undertone, is a deep color, but not overly dark. The halo of white Diamonds helps lighten the design a bit and adds wonderful presence to the piece. This ring was made in the mid century period and was likely designed as a right-hand ring for the September birthstone, but nowadays would make a great engagement ring. This ring is easily sizable to most sizes.
