These adorable Opal earrings are proof that halo designs are not a new concept! These perfectly petite halo earrings were made 150 years ago in rich yellow gold then set with sizable old mine cut Diamonds. The focal point of the earrings is a round crystal opal- each has a broad flash of green and orange over a milky blue base. These earrings are post style and measure just under 1/2 inch in diameter, so they offer good lobe coverage, though they could easily be converted to a dangle or lever-back design if you so choose.
Details: 14k yellow gold stud earrings with .50ctw 4mm round Australian Opals and .48ctw old mine cut Diamond accents (SI IJ), circa 1880.
