Bezel set securely in the center is a substantial and radiant oval Spessartite Garnet. The Fanta-orange Garnet is the perfect hue- a golden orange with no red or brown modifiers, neither too light nor too dark. The gem is set flush to the mount for comfort, then the gold surrounding it is finished with a matte effect which makes the Spessartite appear even more sparkly! The concave surfaces down the shank kept their shine too, for an interesting contrast between shiny and matte yellow gold. This would make an interesting wedding ring for the gem collector, right hand ring, or even January birthstone ring.
