The term Padparadscha is Sinhalese, and means “lotus blossom” due to the similarity between these gems and the sunset-pink color of the said flower. This gem is set in a beautiful platinum mounting made in the post-war years, featuring two rows of bezel set round diamonds and channel set baguette diamonds for symmetrical sparkly accents. The sides of the ring are embellished with milgrain details and the Sapphire is set with claw prongs for vintage flair.
