Little Piggie Pendant, Sterling & Gold & Rose Cut Diamonds

…this little piggie was made in the 1880s and encrusted with Diamonds. I don’t remember my childhood story ending this way, but I certainly love to see the story come to life! This amazing Victorian figural pig pendant was likely made as a charm for a bracelet and now is worn as a pendant. Unlike most figurals, which are one sides (with a back and front), this piece is equally glorious on both sides! In fact, the pig can sit on its four feet as a perfect specimen. This piece was made in 14k yellow gold, then topped with silver, in which the rose cut Diamonds are set. These are old antique Diamonds with a mysterious sparkle. The eyes are tiny bezel set Rubies, the tail is the perfect twist of gold. This little piggie pendant is the perfect scale model of a pig, in jewelry miniature form- sure to charm the next owner. While not signed, we suspect this of British origin- probably made for a pig farmer!
