Edwardian Aquamarine Pendant with Rose Cut Diamonds & Pearls

This amazing 100-year-old pendant has an interesting history. When we purchased the piece, it was a brooch that was missing the center gemstone dangle. To make it a bit more wearable, we created a hidden bail where the pin had been attached to convert it to a pendant. Then, we tracked down a gemstone that was in keeping with the time period and settled on this gemmy natural Aquamarine as the new focal point. We left the original patina and style intact, so it still has an Edwardian look. The outer rim of the piece is crafted in platinum overlaid onto gold (the precursor to white gold) which is studded with seed pearls and tiny rose-cut Diamonds. The diameter is an impressive 1.75 inches! The center Aquamarine dangles freely from a chain, which creates interest and movement as the piece is worn, contributing to an overall feeling of enchantment that this pendant creates.
