This is one phenomenal bracelet! Literally- it features two phenomenon gemstones, asterism in the Star Ruby and chatoyancy in the Cat’s Eye Kyanite. This bracelet was custom made for one of our collector clients who had purchased these gemstones from us over the years and wanted to set them in a way that they would catch the light and show their stuff. Coincidentally, both gems were of a similar shape and size, and were of pleasing complementary, which allowed us to set them together. We designed this bracelet in sterling silver then set the gems in yellow gold mountings for added security and a touch of contrast. The silver bracelet can be worn three ways- see attached images- thus orienting the gems close to each other, at an angle, or far apart depending on the mood of the wearer. This is one beautiful bracelet, helped by the fact that these gems are top quality. The Kyanite is from Nepal and has inclusions that cause the Cat’s Eye, but it is still translucent with great blue color. The Ruby is from neighboring India and is semi-translucent with a rich maroon color that is stunning! The blue and red combo is striking on the wrist and makes for a great conversation starting piece.
