This Nouveau necklace has a grace and femininity on the neckline that is totally charming- a result of both design and the original patina of an antique jewel. This necklace has continental European markings and was likely made in Holland or Austria. The center gemstone is a midnight blue Sapphire set in a double bezel, suspended from a floral and architectural centerpiece. This centerpiece is set with rose cut and Old European Cut Diamonds, each individually set in a platinum collet bezel. The majority of the piece is yellow gold, treated with an acid wash to give it a matte finish, which has developed a charming patina over the years which combine to give the piece a ton of character. Wow!
