This amazing red Spinel ring was produced as a byproduct of another custom project. The client came to us wanting to re-set her 1.5ct Diamond in a more modern white gold mounting which would make the Diamond look larger. However, she still liked this original ring mounting, and she liked the thought of being able to preserve the sentimental value. Thus we showed her gems that would look great set against the yellow gold backdrop, and she chose this huge flame-red Spinel as the new focal point for this mounting. We modified the ring, such that the Spinel sits much lower than the Diamond did, and at a cool 45 degree angle, making it an artsy right-hand ring to die for! The Spinel is an old-stock Burmese stone weighing over 2cts and with the perfect stoplight red color that we dream of.
