This elegant ring was designed to let the Alexandrite take center stage. With phenomenon gems, in this case a color-changing Alexandrite, it is important not to overwhelm the gemstone with the mounting since it becomes harder to see that phenomenon. The mounting uses discreet double claw prongs and a knife-edge shank to give it a 1930’s Cartier vibe, with a trio of Diamond accents framing the center stone. The overall effect allows the teal green to bluish purple color-change to be easily visible as the wearer moves between different lighting. This particular gem from Southern India has a moderate color-change and far better brilliance than most we see, making for one stunning ring! These photos were taken under mixed lighting- for examples of the color change, feel free to email us or stop by in person!
