This fabulous ring features a classic design with an atypical center gemstone- a natural cabochon Emerald. The classic halo design has a few other twists- like the open work on the sides of the ring, and the claw prongs holding the Emerald. The contrast between the subtle glow of the green center stone with the sparkle of the Diamond accents creates an effect that is stunning on the hand. Many cabochon Emeralds are not very attractive- but this one is top quality and is perfectly translucent and gem grade. Despite the fact that this ring looks much older, it actually hails from the Victorian Revival period of the late 1940’s; we know this due to the setting style and the modern single-cutting of the Diamonds. Wow!
Details: 14k white gold ring with approximately 2.00ct pear cabochon Emerald and .14ct single cut Diamonds (SI GH), circa 1940’s.
