Modern Estate Amethyst & Diamond Ring

This fun estate ring is set with one of the more unusual natural Amethysts we have come across in an architectural mounting. The elongated cushion cut gemstone is an intense, almost neon, purple hue with brighter magenta flashes. However, this Amethyst has light color zoning, which manifests as bands of light and dark purple running parallel to each other horizontally within the gem (only noticeable under intense scrutiny, but cool nonetheless). The gem is set into a white gold ring, with large prongs originating from a Diamond framework. The sides of the rink are an open shank, with artistic designs running the length for added interest. This is a very comfortable ring and adds a great flash of purple to the hand.
