This teal Tourmaline may be petite in actual size but it has massive presence on the hand due to its punchy color. The client who purchased this stone had been looking for the perfect blue-green gem and chose teal Tourmaline since the color is such a beautiful jewel tone. This gem has ideal color coupled with an unusual round cut- a hard combination to find. She then chose this Edwardian style mounting, crafted in platinum and set with a graduated row of Diamonds, to accentuate the Tourmaline. We designed the mount such that the gem is set low into the mounting, with prongs on the corners, that protect it and give it that antique vibe. When a client chooses a Tourmaline for an engagement ring we often warn them to be careful, as the stone is a little soft for everyday wear, but in this ring, set low and protected, it can be worn and enjoyed all the time without worry.
