Carved 14k Gold Mid-Century Pearl Pixie Ring

This fantastic gold and Pearl ring is a great example of the carved rings that were popular circa 1970. Cast in heavy gold from a hand carved wax mold, then finished by hand, these most often were flowers, roses, or coral. But this ring features a feminine figure holding a Pearl, with floral accent work playing a supporting role. Is she a Pixie? A Sprite? We aren’t sure, but she does a wonderful job of supporting the beautiful Pearl. The 9mm near-round cultured saltwater Akoya Pearl is in excellent condition with an unusual silvery grey tone- it is not white!
