Burmese “Padparadscha Spinel” in Gold Swirl Ring

Few Burmese Spinels come in this coveted pink-orange shade, rivaling the finest Ceylon Padparadscha Sapphire. This one, over 2cts in size, was snapped up by one of our collector clients who always wanted this sunset pink color, but wanted a bigger size and better quality than she could afford in natural Sapphire. Fortunately, there are still deals to be had in the Spinel world! We set this gem in a yellow gold solitaire ring mount, with almost a bypass, or swirl design. The warm yellow gold ring mounting accentuates the orange undertones in the pink Spinel, creating a unique color on the hand.
