This is the first original Art Deco “target ring” that we have had the opportunity to offer. Many Art Deco designers played with the concepts of geometry and perfect symmetry, so jewelry designs fashioned in the shape of targets became popular. In this case a round Diamond is set in the center, surrounded by a halo of smaller Diamonds, which is then surrounded by a halo of larger Diamonds. The effect draws the eye toward the center “bull’s eye.” The ring is crafted in platinum and then each gem is individually set; the center in a bezel, the rest with prongs, but the whole ring sits low and is comfortable to wear. These are fine old European Cut Diamonds that produce a wonderful array of sparkle on the hand. This is truly an Art Deco treasure that we are proud to offer.
Details: 900 platinum ring with .29ct round European Cut Diamond (SI1 H) and .56ctw round European Cut Diamond accents (SI GH): .85ctw Diamonds; circa 1925. Circular top of ring measures 1/2 inch across.
