Product Description

This beautiful white gold and Diamond ring is a relic of the early Art Deco era. In the first quarter of the 20th century, large Diamond “dinner rings” were all the rage- worn to dinner parties, on right hands, using new materials like platinum and new designs of the modern era. By the 1920s we see a subtle shift in the designs, and the rings become a bit daintier, a bit more refined. This example is set in white gold, with swirling Diamonds meeting in the middle in a stylized bow motif. While the filigree is intricate, it is also symmetrical and pleasing to the eye, a nod to the coming Deco design era. This one has just under a third of a carat of bright, white old European cut Diamonds which glisten and sparkle for the perfect adornment on the right hand. We encourage our clients to wear rings like this with flair- on a pinky, or a pointer finger, maybe?

Details: antique 14k white gold ring set with .30ctw round old cut Diamonds (SI1 GH) with filigree accents, circa 1920s.
